Call for Participation: Research project with Trinidadian women – interview participants needed

I’m writing to request your participation in a qualitative research study I’m conducting as part of the requirements of my PhD in Social and Political Thought at York University.

My dissertation project is interested in the lives, experiences, and contexts of Trinidadian
women (including trans* women) who have been or are currently in intimate/romantic
relationships with other women. This study requires interviews with a minimum total of 25
women (approximately 15 in Trinidad and 10 in Toronto).

I am interested in speaking to women of all ages and would particularly be interested in speaking to women above the age of 50. The interviews will be completely confidential, and pseudonyms will be used in any discussions of the content. Interviews will last for approximately an hour and a half.

I am currently in Trinidad and will be here until the 23rd of December. While here I will be based out of the Institute for Gender and Development Studies at the St. Augustine campus of the University of the West Indies. Interviews will be held at a location of convenience for anyone participating.

I can be reached at lrpragg[at]yorku[dot]ca or 868 686 2559. Please share this with anyone you think might be interested.

Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you soon,
Lauren Pragg
